Black-Painted Aluminum Metal Firefighter's Helmet
A black-painted aluminum metal firefighter helmet. The helmet has a round crown with a short mohawk on the top and has round ribbing round it. The helmet has a wide brim with a curved duckbill brim in the back. Attached to the back of the helmet on the duckbill brim is a black-painted hanging ring. Bolted to the front of the helmet is a large red semi-circular front piece. A large number "2" is printed in white in the center of the front piece in a block font. The front piece is bolted with brass metal screws and the helmet has brass metal jointing. Attached to the bottom of the duckbill brim is a rounded rectangular white paper sticker with printed red lettering that reads "Property of / Firefighters Memorial / Museum". The helmet has a partial brown leather lining around the crown. Bolted inside the helmet on the top of the crown is a circular manufacturer plate. The manufacturer plate features a round Maltese cross with images of a fire hydrant on the left wing of the cross and a ladder on the right wing of the cross. "CAIRNS & BROTHER INC. CLIFTON, NEW JERSEY" is stamped in the band around the cross. "MFRS OF" is stamped in the top wing of the cross and "& SUPPLIES" is stamped in the bottom wing of the cross. The center of the cross has a rope band. "FIREMENS EQUIPMENT" is stamped around the center of the cross.
