Description
"This is a Ute doll from Utah. It wears a tan buckskin jacket, beaded and fringed, and darker tan leather trousers, tanned by a different method than the jacket. The face is painted on and two black braids hang down the back, the customary style for the Utes -- unlike some of the other tribes who wear the two braids hanging on either side of the face in front. This doll was made by the first grade children at Uintah-Ouray Boarding School, Whiterocks, Utah."

The doll also has a necklace of larger earth toned beads.
