DALAGER-ANDERSON
Perfect June weather favored Miss Cora Dalager and Gustav Adolph Anderson on their wedding day, Thursday, June 21. The ceremony took place at 4 o’clock in the afternoon on the spacious lawn at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Amelia Dalager, with Rev. A.H. Belgum officiating. The vows were spoken under a floral arch and a mass of pink and white peonies transformed the lawn into a garden of flowers.
As Rev. Belgum took his place at the improvised altar the groom, with the best man, John Anderson, approached. Then came the three bridesmaids with the ushers, who formed an aisle for the approach of the bride and her attendants, the flower girls, Helen Dalager and Norma Ogdahl, the sister and niece of the bride, the ring bearer, Truman Solverud, and the maid of honor, Miss Beatrice Frodowill, who was a college classmate of Miss Dalager’s. The bride approached with her brother, William E. Dalager, who gave her in marriage.
The bridesmaids were Miss Alice Dalager, sister of the bride, and the Misses Corena Thorson and Anna Anderson, sisters of the groom. Selmer Dalager, Herman Dalager and John Anderson served as ushers.
The bride’s gown was of white net over silk. She carried bride’s roses and lilies of the valley.
A reception followed the ceremony during which a program of instrumental music was played. Miss Ida Ogdahl sang several numbers. Supper was served on the lawn to 150 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson left Monday by automobile for Minneapolis and after a trip through Yellowstone Park will be at home on the Nels Dalager farm in Barsness. They will be accompanied through the park by Miss Frodowill, Mrs. Julia Dalager Solverud and son Truman.
Both are accomplished young people and prominent in their section. Mrs. Anderson is graduate of the Glenwood High School and of the College of Agriculture at the State University. Mr. Anderson is one of the promising farmers of the county. He has spent his early life with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gandrud.
