Description

This is a propaganda poster used to persuade the home front to continue working to support their soldier boys. The poster shows an American soldier, marine or army, climbing down a rope ladder on the side of a ship to get into the landing boat for the invasion of islands in the Pacific. However, this poster shows there is no Landing Boat waiting for the soldier. It emphasizes the home front is where the money and production takes place in order to keep the soldiers advancing and winning the war. In particular, this poster is showing even the newspaper boys did their duty and headed to the front lines to protect home. The poster's punch line is "Let's Go!  Where's That Landing Boat?" It was made by the United States Printing Office.
