Shawl: One of two pieces of man's brown plaid woven shawl worn. It is 70 1/4" wide x 62 1/4" long. There are 4" long tassels/frays on one side. The shawl is brown and white speck, with darker brown with thin black outline stripes (thin 1/4"-3/8", wide 5/8"-3/4", wide5/8", thin 1/4") on 3 sides. The lines criss-cross at the ends. Condition - There are numerous holes and faded spots.
Goes with 1.1.3169.
Worn by Benjamin Densmore of Red Wing, circa 1860. He wore this instead of an overcoat.
