Description

Purse: Felt embroidered purse, 15 1/2" high (including handle), 11" wide at top and tapers down to 7 1/2" at the bottom. The handle is 3 1/2" wide. The purse is black plastic leather like material on woven cloth. On the front side is a yellow felt background with cut out diamonds. There are felt and satin pink, red, purple, green, white, orange, yellow, blue, teal, and gray flowers with green and brown leaves. The purse edges are trimmed with black and gold woven thread forming large triangles and small rectangles. The inside is lined with black satin. The back of the bag has spots where white paper had stuck to it. The black plastic on the front of the bag is flaking off.

The donor is Evelyn L. Nelson (11/28/1911-1/4/2005). She was born in Red Wing. She was the daughter of William and Olga Wendler. She married Raymond Nelson.
