Description
Purse: Cream evening purse with gold sequins, 6 1/2" long, 5 1/4" wide at the top and widens to 8 1/8". The outside of the purse is cream netting with gold sequins sewn on with cream thread. The front side has a three petal flower with a long leaf in light brown sequins. The frame is gold metal and is engraved with v's. The purse closes with a small gold double clasp. The handle is a shiny gold rope 4" long and attached to gold rings. The inside is lined with thick polished cotton. Inside the purse is a 1 7/8" square double mirror.

Creola T. Marquette Pirius Tupa (Mrs. William G. Pirius) is the donor. Creola Marquette Pirius (2/18/1911-2/17/1991) was born in Wilmot, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Edward and Clara Marquette. She married William Pirius. They lived in Red Wing. In 1960, she bought Fitzsimmon's Hat Shop and named it Creola's. She retired in 1985.
