Description
Kettle: Large Norwegian copper kettle. The kettle had belonged to his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Fennie, who lived near Wanamingo (farmed 3 1/2 miles southeast of Kenyon). They came from Norway and settled there. They used to make cheese and soap, and lent the kettle to others all winter. It was used by many people in the whole community (some even made beer in it). When the farm was sold in 1918, the donor took it to his home. See location screen.Geographic Notes
