Description
Purse: Brown alligator skin purse, 7" tall, 12" wide. The front of the purse has a baby alligator head with an arm on each side of the head. The arms lift up. The alligator has teeth and fake orange and black eyes. Down the middle center of the purse is lighter colored alligator skin. There is a row of light brown piping on each side of the head on the front and back of the purse. The handle is skin and is 3 1/2" tall. The handle is firm and keeps its shape. The metal frame is covered with skin. The frame has small gold round head nails. The purse opens by pressing down a gold metal button on a raised gold rectangle. Below the button is a gold cut out pointed circle shape to pull the purse open. On each side of the top of the frame is a gold rectangle. The top part of it pushes out to unlock the purse. The inside is lined with goldish brown leather. There is a pocket the width of the purse on one side.
Emma Koehn Isensee (10/11/1884-5/28/1980) was the dauther of Joachim and Louise Koehn. She married Irwin Isensee. She was born in Frontenac and lived in the Lake City area and Red Wing.
