Pale red, purplish red, yellow, green, black plaid rayon? umbrella. The umbrella is 23 1/2" long from ferrule to handle. The cover is pale red, purplish red, yellow, green, and black plaid rayon?. The pale red sections are the largest sections. At the bottom of the cover is a 3/8" wide x 6 1/2" long red rayon? strip that goes around the cover and closes with a snap. Half the snap is missing. There is no inside cover. The cover is approximately 18" long (at a rib) and has an approximately 29" diameter when opened. It has silver colored metal ribs. The tips of the ribs are clear lucite? The stick is light brown wood. The handle is clear lucite? with a pattern of raised oblong shapes on each side. The handle is 4" long, 1 3/8" wide, and has a 2" wide curve. The handle curves down at a slight angle and widens slighlty. Above the handle is red twisted cord that attaches to a carrying loop. The carrying loop is red woven cotton and is 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" long. Where the cord attaches to the loop is a red transparent plastic bell shape piece. The ferrule is clear lucite? and is 3/4" long. The sliding tube that opens the umbrella is silver colored metal. There is a metal clip inside the tube that is pushed in to open the cover. At the top of the tube where the ribs join there is plaid rayon? material around the ribs. Condition - The cover has large faded areas. There are watermark type stains on the cover. There are holes half way down the cover. Half of the snap is missing for the cover closure strip. The stick is worn where the sliding tube slides. There may be slight corrosion on the ribs. MOLD? - The umbrella may have had mold. There were a few small spots. It was laid out in the basement room by the elevator from 4/6 - 4/12/2010. The spots were vacuumed on 4/12/2010.
