Description

Legging: U.S. Navy leggings. The leggings are white canvas. They are mid-calf length. Along the outside edge on one side are 6 bronze hooks with one small grommet at the top and two grommets at the bottom. On the other side are 7 bronze grommets. One spat has a large gold grommet above the top hook. There is a 5/8" wide white woven strap with a metal end that goes under the foot and inserts through a buckle with teeth. On the inside of both leggings is a written black "4" on the top side. There is faded unreadable black print on each legging, with different words on each one. The spat witht he gold grommet has "2A" written in black along the opening. The laces are missing. Condition - There are mended holes. There are numerous stains. There are black markings on the inside where the boots were. The laces are missing.

It is not known who wore these leggings or when they were used.
