Description
Child-sized mannequin with black metal button-style shoes. It was found in the basement of Johnson & Bullock clothing stores.
The store was built in 1897 by Sam Zalkind and was always used as a men's clothing store. The first store was owned by Sam Zalkind (who was in business in a different location, Morrow building, as early as 1894) until 1920 when it was sold to William St. Clair. The store operated as St. Clair Clothing Company in the 1920s, St. Clair - Crum in the 1930s, St. Clair - Crum - Irgens in the 1940s and St. Clair - Irgens in the 1950s and 60s. Harold Irgens sold the store to Vic Johnson and Charles Bullock in 1969. They owned the store until Vic Johnson's death in 1996.
