Description
"Carved Ivory Handles on Wooden Nut Bowl. Small white ivory walrus figures are used as decorative handles on a hand-made birch bowl, 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The walrus figures have fine tusks, scaled to the size of the small figures. The handles are attached to the bowl by means of dowels which project, unseen, from the sides of the bowl and fit into a tiny hole carved in the walruses' stomachs. This bowl was made by Ronald Senungetuk, Wales, Alaska, 1950."

According to Ronald Senungetuk is was made from adler and ivory.
