"XFV-2485-B-4-68
Air Cover--A U.S. Navy UH-1B (Iriquois, "Huey" sic) flies over U.S. Navy river patrol boats (PBR) on the Cho Gao canal in the Mekong Delta. The PBRs were conducting psychological operations in the canal and the seawolves, as the men call themselves, provided air cover.

See photo in booklet "The Navy in Vietnam"-page 94"

The use of psychological warfare was common in Vietnam. Understandably, if a rural rebel saw a large fleet of gunboats and helicopters nearby, although there was no active combat, they might feel inclined to not participate or cooperate with Vietcong military operations.
