Description
This is a propaganda poster used to persuade the home front to buy war bonds to support their soldier boys. The poster shows an American parachutist landing with his gun ready to fire after being dropped out of the departing airplane. Numerous other parachutists are seen in the background as well. This was to promote the third War Loan, and how the purchasing of the war bonds gave the financial backing to the American soldiers and their allies to continue fighting the Axis powers during World War II. This poster was printed by the United States Government Printing Office in 1943.
