Description

This is a calendar for the year 1982 given out by the Ebert Hardware store located in Preston. At that time, the hardware store was known for its supermix paints, farm and home hardware, and sporting goods. Some of the brands it sold were the Remington and Du Pont brands. This particular calendar uses the theme American wildlife, with a majority of focus on ducks, for the artwork featured each month, with a brief text explaining the picture. The scenes range from ducks coming in for a landing in a river, deer watching ducks take off from a pond or lake, and ducks flying over a lake in which other ducks are swimming. The front cover also has text from Stephen M. Miller regarding the four major flyways for ducks.
