Description

This is a calendar for the year 1979 given out by the Ebert Hardware store located in Preston. At that time, the hardware store was known for its supermix paints, farm and home hardware, and sporting goods. Some of the brands it sold were the Remington and Du Pont brands. This particular calendar uses the theme American wildlife and its habitat for the artwork featured each month as a salute to the conservation officers with a brief text explaining what conservation officers do. The scenes range from desert bighorn sheep walking through the desert, mourning doves flying over an old log cabin, and a grizzly bear climbing a slope in the mountains.
