Description
Local artist Emeline Dahl painted a beautiful, vibrant portrait of the Russell and Helen TerBeest farmstead, possibly in the 1960's, but the scene is set in the 1920's. On the left side is a picturesque, white house, with trees and flowerbeds surrounding it. A women is seen outside the house. Towards the center and more in the forefront is the barn and silo. To the left of the barn is a man watering his horses. A 1920's style car is parked closer to the barn. Around the barn is the barnyard and to the right in the forefront are a couple other horses grazing. In the back of the barn is a windmill and pump house. Behind these is a field that looks to have been plowed. To the right of the field is the chicken house with several chickens free-ranging around it. A few other buildings, possibly for the hogs and calves or other animals, are seen just to the right of the chicken house. In the background are beautiful green hills and trees with a blue sky and a few wisps of cloud.

The painting is housed in a simple, varnished, wooden frame.
