Description

"This lapel pin is in two parts: a 1 1/4 inch birch bark circlet from which hangs a 1 1/4 inch birch bark canoe. This pin was made by the Chippewa Indians."

2007 - There is no pin attached to this artifact. It is decorated with red dyed porcupine quills. dried grass, and red thread. There is one blue bead in the circlet. Some of the quills are breaking - see condition notes.
