Description
The United States home front participated in Liberty Loan Drives during the years of World War I, following the country's entrance into the war. There were four Liberty Loans in total, but there was a fifth Victory Loan following the end of the war. This is a poster for the third Liberty Loan. It portrays Lady Liberty dressed in white and brandishing the colored standard for the United States. She stands in front of the soldiers in the middle of battle. Just to the Lady's side are the words "Fight or buy bonds" for the "Third Liberty Loan". The words are written in red and blue.
