Description
Upon the entry of the United States to World War I, which officially took place on April 4, 1917, drafts were performed to help bolster up the military all over the country. In Fillmore County, the eighth call for the draft came on September 6, 1918. Local photographer Moen & Palen photographed the group enlisting that day with a couple members of the Fillmore County Draft Board, Sheriff E. K. Blexrud and Dr. George A. Love.
This photo is held in a simple wooden frame cobbled together and painted purple.
