Description

"Sunburg Free Lutheran Church 1878 - 2008 130 years in the Lord August 24, 2008" The congregation was formed in 1876. The first two years the congregation met in people's homes. A church building was built starting in late 1876. The congregation started meeting in the newly built church in 1878. We have technically been meeting for 132 years. But, only 130 years of that have been in the church building. Hence, the reason we celebrate 130 years.
