Toby Griggs served during the Vietnam War as a commissioned member of the Marine Corps. His concentrated dates of Wartime activity are 1969-1970. However, his years of service initially started in July of 1966 and continued until January of 1992. The locations in which he served were Vietnam, Beauford, SC, Quantico, VA, Cherry Point, NC, Japan, Okinawa, and China. During the War he completed 289 combat missions as an Attack Pilot and he also flew Recon missions. He became very experienced flying many different kinds of planes including, but not limited to, the A4 and the Harrier. His highest rank achieved was that of Lieutenant Colonel.
                After Vietnam War, he became a pilot instructor for A4s. He then also became adept at operating the Harrier while at sea, which led to him becoming a Harrier pilot instructor. He left Active Duty in 1992 and then he became part of a medical company that would rent/repair medical equipment. That job had him relocate to Florida where he then helped the Reserves stop drug runners. After that he Moved to the Midwest and owned a Computer Renaissance company.
