Description

This is an oblong, wood and iron cow stanchion.  There are two vertical iron bars.  On the inside each is trimmed along the straight part with wood and screws.  The bars make a bend and connect to make a U-shape.  One side is connected with a riveted hinge with two outer hooks.  The other end is held together with a sliding bracket so that the U can be unlocked and are able to open and close.  The bracket has two turn wheels that have company name and information stamp into the metal.  There is a ring on the bracket where a small chain and eye hook are secured.  The other end of the chain is wired to one of the vertical iron bars.
