This is a bELL JAR VACUUM PUMP CENTRAL SCIENTIFIC COMPANY LABORATORY APPARATUS
The device has a four footed wooden base and a turned column which supports the iron pump arm and brass piston housing. There is a small brass plate with company name and equipment information located on the front, center of base. There is a black, metal, vertical tube, with a brass knob, attached to two horizontal smaller tubes on the top of the wooden base in the middle. There is a black, metal, 11 inch round stand that holds an upside down, cone shaped, (VITAX USA) glass jar. There is a silver metal ring that has 3 metal hooks attached. Each hook has a hanging chain and all 3 are clipped together by a circular, solid, metal ring. Under the jar is a metal nozzle with a turn switch. At the top of the jar is a small opening at the tip. Attached on the outside is a long brown rubber hose. At the end of the hose is a small turn switch metal valve. On the side of the glass cone is a strip of masking tape indicating measurements.
