Description
2000.019.007: Good Conduct medal consists of a red ribbon with six white stripes, three on the left and three on the right. On the back of the ribbon is a pin/clasp for affixing the award to a dress uniform. Suspended from a ring from the bottom of the medal is a 1.25 inch diameter medal. The center of the medal has a standing eagle clutching a sword in its talons, standing on a book; this is all down in a raised relief. The words " Efficiency Honor Fidelity" are in raised relief around the outside of the medal, Efficiency is at the 10:00 position, Honor at 2:00 and Fidelity is centered on the 6:00 position. Both the suspension ring and medal are bronze in color. The back of the medal has a raised olive branch encircling the left side of the the device and an oak branch encircling the right side. Centered is a star, above the star the words "FOR GOOD" and centered below the star "CONDUCT". 2000.019.007-B Blue Box for medal-not in very good condition
