Dedicated in 1889. Burned down in 1895." Envelope on back says, "Printed story and original print in this folder." Back includes sticker that says, "Diane's Custom Framing" with contact information in New Brighton, Minnesota. Circa 1890s. Date of reproduction unknown.

Envelope on back includes a photocopy of a black-and-white photograph of the burned building [1201.001.585_b]. Label attached to the photocopied photograph says, "Luther Theological Seminary. (Built in 1889. Destroyed by fire in 1895.) This example of classical architecture featuring Romanesque arches and symbolic bell tower stood seemingly impenetrable, yet in less than six years it burned to the ground. It was built on a ten-acre site on College Ave. at what is now known as 4001 Regent Ave. The massive brick and stone building beautifully landscaped was the pride of early settlers of Robbinsdale."

Envelope on back includes a photocopy of printed information [see 1201.001.585_c]. It says in part, "The Luther Theological Seminary was destroyed by fire on a very cold morning of January 11, 1895--in less than one hour. Itwas later rebuilt on Como Avenue in St. Paul."
