Description

Easter postcard with a horizontal image.  Wide green band around the edge with Easter lillies.  Image of an open tomb and text: "Allelujah! Allelujah! Angels sound it from the Height- Christ is risen! Allelujah! Love hath conquered Death and Night. Sound one sound the Easter message, Till each heart forgets its pain, Christ is risen@ Christ is risen! Joy and peace have come to reign!" Handwritten in ink just above the bottom green border “Easter greetings to all the family from Bertha.”  On the back a postmark, Oakland, CA  April 14, 1908.  It is addressed to Mrs. Frances Pond. There is a green one-cent Franklin stamp. The back does not have the standard Postcard division markings.
