Description
1944 wood cut-out of a fighter aircraft with "Keep 'em Flying" across the wings and New York City on the back in wood burning or stamped letters.  Blue mailing tag with Dennison Mfg. Co. gummed washer attached by string to wood airplane. Sent from Mary to Audrey Rodestrom, Route 1, Minneapolis Minn. Mailed from New York City on Feb 2, 1944 at 6PM GPO (general post office)  3-cent Thomas Jefferson stamp.  On the reverse of the mailing tag text is nearly invisible "Hello Audrey, This is what me and your mother is riding around in New York. Mary."  Donor thinks Mary was a maternal cousin.  3x5" 1/4" thick.  Tag 3.25 x 1.75 inches.
