Description

Artifacts found during the 2017-2018 Pope County Archaeological Survey.
Thirty-four items were found at site 21PO60,including lithics (n=33) and historics (n=1).The lithics were all flaking debris. Raw materials included Swan River Chert (n=23), Red River Chert (n=5), Knife River Flint (n=2), Prairie du Chien Chert (n=1), Tongue River Silica (n=1) and chalcedony (n=1).The historic artifact was a white stoneware body sherd.
