Description
Oak frame measures 19.5 inches wide by 25.5 inches high. The framing pieces are .75 inches deep and 1 inch wide with 2 decorative grooves near each edge. There is a piece of plexiglass covering the print and a medium blue matting around the print. The back of the frame is sealed with brown paper, and there are 2 small screw eyes on either side of the frame. Attached to the screw eyes is a 1/8 inch metal cable for hanging the framed print.
   The tin print measures 13.5 x 21.5 inches. It is printed with a very light blue background and the document is printed with a darker blue ink. The heading reads, "Maple Lake Messenger." The second line reads, "VOL.1 MAPLE LAKE WRIGHT COUNTY, MINN. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1895 NO. 1" . Above the heading in small print is a line reading, "Reproduced first issue by the Maple Lake Messenger staff, copy courtesy of Patricia Hamilton." The rest of the pages is printed with numerous articles written is blue ink with small font.
