This photograph shows a large gathering of people in front of two large statues. The locations looks to be Washington DC. There are many civilians as well as soldiers in ceremonial garb, reporters and cameras are also in the photo.

On the back frame of the photo in the top left corner is the number eight in roman numerals written in pencil.
