Description
Green wood iron-bound trunk built in 1807. It held all the belongings of Anna Johnsdater Bergeland Peterson Kleppe when she came to America in 1875 on a Norwegian Cattle Boat with her family at the age of 2. Initials and the date 1875 are written inside the top. A tin label on the front once had the family name and place, but the black paint has nearly all worn off.Related People and Organizations
