Description
Doll quilt made by Susanna (Price) Haeg in 1905 for her granddaughter Violet (Haeg) Kramer.  It is pieced in a medallion style.  The center is a red and white checkerboard of 16 blocks.  It is surrounded by a pink border, then a white border.  A sawtooth border of blue and white, or brown and white half-square triangles is the third border.  These three borders, pink, white and sawtooth, are then repeated.  The backing is a checkerboard of 25 squares in light blue, brown or white with a stripe print.  The quilt measures 16" square.
