Description

Yellow circular ashtray with a raised "tiki" emblem in the center and three equidistant divots for cigarettes. Came from the Waikiki Room at the Nicollet Hotel. The Nicollet Hotel was a hotel in downtown Minneapolis at the convergence of Washington, Hennepin, and Nicollet Avenues. It operated as the Nicollet House from 1858 to 1922, before being razed and rebuilt on the same site, reopening in 1924. The hotel ran into financial difficulties and the building was sold to Soul Harbor Church in 1973.
