Description
Inlaid wooden box made by Cole Younger while in Stillwater Prison (1876-1902), 9 1/4" x 7" x 4 1/4", inlaid with tiny pieces of wood and a mother-of-pearl heart on the top in the center (some of the wood is chipped and missing), small brass lock and hinges, inside is a wooden tray with three compartments and lined wtih red vlevet (deteriorated) that lifts out, a note in the accession book reads "Given by Shariff Johnson's daughters at Marine, Minn. to W. F. S. (Schilling)."
