Description

A signature quilt given to Isabel Sandberg at her bridal shower. She was marrying William Matus on June 21, 1931. The signatures on the quilt were hand embroidered by family members and friends. It is a patchwork type quilt with individual blocks with mostly maiden names on each block. The back is a plaid material like flannel. Beautifully done. It is a plain quilt with no matting inside, maybe could be called a blanket. Colors are blue, green, red, brown, maroon, tan etc.

A multi-colored quilt with names on it, that were embroidered on. Names on the quilt read: Leona H.. Lillie Bebensee, Minnie H., Jessie Barck, Viola Swan, Mabelle Swan with 2 cats playing, Inga L., Virgie Colbeck, Gertrude Nielsen with a monkey on it, Aunt Annie with rattle on it., Stena K., Tillie  L., Vic, Mother, Aunt Nellie and a bird, Helen L., Sister Clara, Aunt Anna and a flower, Sandberg and Clara.
