Description

Golden yellow rectangular souvenir ribbon with black text. On one side is a 2-inch diameter seal of a covered wagon with “to Minnesota” on it being pulled by oxen towards a sunset. Along the perimeter of the seal are the words “Minnesota Territorial Pioneers.” Below the seal is black text reading “Sons and Daughters Hennepin County Territorial Pioneers.” The reverse side of the ribbon contains a 2"x1" drawing of a house. Above and below this are the words “Oldest House in the city Built by Ard. Godfrey, 1848.” The second section of text reads “Souvenir Minneapolis Semi-Centennial 1855-1905” and then lists school enrollment stats. Donated in 2022 by Conley Brooks, Jr. of Wayzata.
