Black-and-white photograph of four men standing on a hand car on the Minneapolis & St. Louis railroad in front of Nels Smith's driveway circa late 1890s. Standing behind the crew looking on are two young boys: George Smith (on the left) and Dana Frear (right). A typed label affixed to the photo lists the crew member's names from left to right: Joe Giesen (the boss), Andrew Barker, Spike Sewell, and Billy Logan.
