Commencement invitation with calling card, envelope and ribbon. Invitation to the Bloomington High School class of 1925 commencement ceremony with calling card from Hazel M. Standish addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Ames & family. Hand delivered. Includes a one-inch wide ribbon, 90 inches long which is gold on one side and black on the other which was probably worn by a graduate over their graduation gown. The brown cardstock invitation cover is tied with a gold and purple ribbon contains several pages. The first page lists the ceremony date, time and place “Class of Nineteen Hundred Twenty-five Bloomington High School Commencement Exercises Friday Evening May Twenty-ninth at eight o'clock School Auditorium.” The second page contains the class motto “Not evening but dawn,” class colors Purple and Gold, class flower American Beauty Rose and list of class members: Gladys E. Chadwick, Ruth A. Chadwick, Lucille M. Grafenstatte, Charles E. Hollenback, Gisle F. Jacobson, Theron L. Keller, Delbert G. Kelley, Arthur C. Kuboushek, Clay E. Nord, Lawrence W. Palmquist, Hiram W. Scovel, Hazel M. Standish. . The third page lists class officers president Clay Nord, Vice-President Theron Keller, Secretary Lucille Grafenstatte, Treasurer Hazel Standish, school principal Edith M. Newman, superintendent M. Blair Scherich , commencement speaker Thelda Gildmeister Instructor of Education at Winona State Teacher's College, and baccalaureate officiant Rev. Lyle Stone with date and location for that event: Sunday Evening May Twenty-fourth. The envelope has a gold paper lining with a basket weave pattern.
