Description

Artificial Pneumothorax Apparatus developed by the staff at the Glen Lake Sanatorium. It was donated by the family of Dr. Leonard Larson Sr., who worked as a doctor at the Glen Lake Sanatorium for many years. The apparatus is approximately 54cm tall, 33cm wide, and 16cm deep and is hand-made out of wood. The door has a metal latch and ornate metal hinges. The interior has two shelves, that would have been used to hold the equipment for the treatment. There are also four long metal rods inside, and another unattached piece of wood with two latches on it.
