Description

A: Floor length, short sleeve, corseted, column dress with a roughly four-foot train. The skirt and bodice are made from cream colored satin while the sleeves and neckline are made from a matching mesh with floral embroidery. The yoke is made from cream colored, scalloped, floral lace and there is a matching sheer overlay at each shoulder trimmed with white, spherical beads reminiscent of pearls. These beads also appear at the edge of the neckline. Under the bust a band of cream-colored silk has been pleated and sewn down before flowing into the skirt which is overlaid with a cream-colored mesh lace that runs asymmetrically from the center of the skirt and around the right-hand hip and is embroidered at the bottom with a floral pattern. A series of snaps, as well as hook and eyes run down the back to the waist and fabric wrapped weights are present inside.

B: Long piece of cream-colored satin. The top edge has four hook closures running across half of the reverse side allowing it to hook onto the dress as a train. It gets progressively wider moving towards the bottom edge, which has a small fold towards the outer edges of either side that have been sewn down. There is a single, fabric wrapped weight on the reverse side.
