Rory Holland is an officer for Lake Trade Tribal Place and has been in this position since 2009. He works closely with veterinarians and his community in order to help animals receive the veterinary care they need and shelter stray animals. He has been involved with SIRVS, the Student Initiative for Reservation Veterinary Services at the University of Minnesota, since its inception about 15 years ago. 


In this interview, Rory Holland discusses the inception of SIRVS and the changes and challenges that occurred at the very first SIRVS clinic. He talks about the challenge of building trust in the community and how that trust is what makes SIRVS so effective. He concludes the interview discussing the new animal wellness clinic being built in the community and how he hopes they can attract some more veterinarians to the area.
