This large framed print depicts a Native American male with black hair with a red rope around his hair and a green sprig and red dangles attached from the rope. The man has 10 green spots across his nose and cheeks. Around his neck is a black knotted scarf and a wide necklace. Near his waist is a gray and white blanket. Just under the print on the left side reads, “Painted by C. B. King.” On the right reads, “Luhman and Dupal Lith Phila.” Below the print is the title of the print, “Wesh-Cubb Or the Sweet Chippeway Chief.” Below that is information about the print: Entered according to Act of Congress in the Year 1836 by E.C. Biddle in the Clerks Office of the District Court of Eastern District of P. The print has an off-white background and is double framed with a ¼ inch tan mat and a 2 ½ inch maroon textured mat. The ornate gilded wooden frame is two inches wide. The back of the frame is sealed with brown paper and a cable is attached to each side with metal brackets. Each bracket measures ½ in. x 2 in. and is attached with two metal screws.
