This framed print depicts a side view of a Native American male with long black hair and a shorter bunch of hair near his forehead. He has a key-shaped bauble attached to a rope near his ear and is wearing a gray and white blanket around his back and shoulder. Below the print is the title, “Sha-Ha-Ka A Mandan Chief.” Below that is information about the print: Published by E. C. Biddle Philadelphia. Printed and Coloured at LT Bowens Lithographic Establishment No. 94 Walnut St. Entered according to Act of Congress in the Year 1837 by E.C. Biddle in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Penn. The background of the print is off-white and is double matted with a ¼ in. tan mat and a 2 ½ in. maroon textured mat. The print is framed with a 2 inch ornate gilted wooden frame. The back of the frame is sealed with brown paper and there is a cable attached to each side of the frame with a metal bar. Each bar measures ½ in.x 2 in. and is secured to the frame with 2 metal screws.
