Description

Black and white group photo of the Bloomington Senior Citizen's Club taken in the 1960s.  About 60 Club members are seated in metal folding chairs in a room.  It looks like a photo of the audience was taken from a speaker's podium. In the room there are floral draperies at the windows on the left, and fluorescent lights on the ceiling.  The men are dressed in suits and ties.  The women are wearing dresses.  Many women are wearing hats and have a purse on their lap.  All attendees are wearing a name tag with a ribbon attached.  The ribbons say "More og Romsdals Lag" which is a region in western Norway.  A banner at the back of the room says the same, and has a coat of arms of a Norwegian flag and American flag, a crown, a shield with lion rampant, and a laurel branch below the shield.  The photo is 8" x 10" in size.  On the back is written “1960's group photo Bloomington Senior Citizens Club.  Marjorie Furui front row second from left."  The back also bears the stamp from the photography company “H.M. Schawang Photo Co. Commercial Photographers, 257 Loob Arcade - 5th & Henn., Minneapolis, Minn.”
