Digital scan of a black and white photograph of the Brousseau-Reed house during remodeling in 1941. Elizabeth Reed stands by an open doorway. Greek Revival architectural style home originally built in 1869-1871 by Minneapolis lawyer Frances Xavier Brousseau. Sold to Louis Reed in 1896 to changed it to its present configuration. Named Orchard Springs Farm. Reed added on to the original L shape and a later remodel to half the house in 1941 made the house a year-round dwelling. Original address 1629 East Old Shakopee Road. Photo shows shutters and doors which have been removed leaning against a tree.
