Aluminum cone-shaped strainer with handle, 8.5" in diameter and 9" long. Circular 6.5" diameter stand with three bent wire legs which slide into pairs of tubes around the outer edge of the stand. Wood cone-shaped pestle which is 11.5" long and about 3" in diameter at its widest point. Together these units provide a way to mill and strain cooked foods for preserving and canning. Often used for making tomato sauce, apple sauce or fruit jam. Cooked foods are poured into the strainer, and pressed through the holes with the pestle. Fruit skins and seeds remain in the strainer, and a smooth sauce drains through into a bowl below.
