Description
"The cover of this wheat colored, coil weave, willow basket is attached to the basket with rawhide thongs. The oval basket measures 17 1/2 by 12 inches. It was made by a 75 year old Grandma Arrum, a Ute Indian and was given to me in 1934 by Mrs. Smith an Indian matron at the Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nevada." There are 2.5 coils and 6 stitches per inch.
