Theater poster advertising the Bloomington Civic Theatre production of A  Case of Libel.  A taut courtroom drama of the Reynolds-Pegler Case, a famous libel case between two journalists in 1955.  This play was written about the case and performed on Broadway in 1963.  The Bloomington Civic Theater production was done at the Annex Theatre, 10025 Penn Ave. S. (the former Bloomington Consolidated School building) on November 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23 (1968).  The 14" x 22" paper poster is black with a white image and white text.  The title of the play is in red.  The poster has mildew damage and the white paint has smeared.
